After downloading
.kepub.epubKeep the filename. For a sideloaded KEPUB, keep the full .kepub.epub extension.
Copy over USB. Connect your Kobo, copy the file to its storage, then safely eject and allow it to import.
Open and check. Try the contents menu, cover, footnotes and a few pages. A file report cannot test your device.
What these checks cover
This prototype checks ZIP structure, EPUB package files, reading order, internal document links and selected conversion changes. It is not the full EPUBCheck suite. It does not repair text, remove DRM, test your device, check every CSS reference or certify accessibility. Unusual encodings, ZIP64 and remote-resource EPUBs may need a desktop tool.
